Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Care Specialist to join our team at Insight Global Healthcare. This is a dynamic role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Role

As a Medical Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first aid support and making referrals to outside medical providers as necessary. You will also minimize employee risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement. Additionally, you will maintain all records of care provided to employees and coordinate workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $22-26 per hour. Benefit packages will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401(k) retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Responsibilities and Requirements

This role requires the following qualifications and skills:
  • A high school or equivalent diploma
  • Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care (ECC) provider
  • One of the following active certifications:
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
  • Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health
  • Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC), by either the Board of Certification or equivalent State Certification
  • OR 6 months previous military work experience (within the last year) in one of the following:
  • Combat Medic (U.S. Army)
  • Field Medic (U.S. Army)
  • Healthcare Specialist (U.S. Army)
  • Hospital Corpsman (U.S. Navy)
  • Aerospace Medical Service Technician (U.S. Air Force)
