Position Overview

Summary
Ebenezer Child Care Centers is in search of enthusiastic, imaginative, and resourceful Early Childhood Educators for our exceptional programs.

We cater to children from infancy to school age within our highly-rated facilities. As a prominent non-profit early education provider in the region, we pride ourselves on our programs.

Utilizing our E.P.I.C. curriculum, educators foster independence, creativity, and a love for learning. Ideal candidates will possess relevant experience and education in early childhood development, demonstrating a commitment to the educational needs of children and a passion for teaching.

Role of the Assistant Teacher
The Assistant Teacher collaborates with the Teachers and the Director to cultivate a nurturing and secure environment for children, while also aiding in activities that enhance the overall quality of education. Responsibilities include effective communication, teamwork, and supporting the implementation of a high-quality educational program. The Assistant Teacher will observe and document children's interests and progress, sharing insights with parents and staff, and is responsible for executing developmentally appropriate activities tailored to children's needs under the guidance of the Teacher and Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete minimum state-required training or demonstrate ability to obtain within the first six months of employment.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of child development.
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Exhibit patience, positivity, and adaptability.
  • Obtain Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification within the first three months of employment.
  • Pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Complete health screening and TB test.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with children.

Qualifications

  • Completion of minimum state-required training.
  • Prior experience in childcare, education, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, along with basic computer proficiency.
  • Solid understanding of child development principles.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to foster relationships with children and families.
  • Positive, patient, and adaptable demeanor.
  • Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Health screening completion.
  • Passion for engaging with children.
