About the Role:

Cambridge International Systems is seeking a highly skilled Computer and Information Network Engineer to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany. As a key member of our global community, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the implementation of switch cuts, forecasts, and special projects within our network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with users and evaluate requirements to recommend designs, provide cost analyses, plan projects, and coordinate tasks for installation of networks.
  • Develop network performance criteria and measurement methods.
  • Perform technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, front-end processors systems engineering, multiplexors, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems.
  • Automate statistical research and reports.
  • Perform future worth economic selection studies on network upgrades and components to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current system.

Requirements:

  • Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
  • Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
  • Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Develops technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met.
  • Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
  • Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
  • May supervise others.
  • Extensive knowledge of field.
  • Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma with 11 years of recent, specialized experience.
  • Associates Degree with 7 years of recent, specialized experience.
  • Major Certification with 7 years of recent, specialized experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree (and higher) with 3 years of recent, specialist experience.

Travel Requirements:

  • Active Passport.
  • In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.

Physical Environment and Working Conditions:

  • Cambridge International Systems complies with Temporary Duty Station (TDY)/Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment, sitting at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.
  • Work is physically comfortable; the employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
  • May be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
