Nutritionist II

The State of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist II to join our team. As a key member of our Public Health Division, you will play a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of our communities.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and document participants' nutrition risks and prescribe food packages
- Provide one-on-one and group nutrition education, including breastfeeding promotion and support
- Identify and implement individual care plans for low-risk participants
- Refer participants to other health and social services and provide follow-up
- Document nutrition services provided, including referrals and follow-up
- Bachelor's degree in a social, community, health, education, or nutritional field
- Two years of experience in nutrition services, including assessment, planning, intervention, education, and evaluation
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Ability to work with diverse populations and provide culturally sensitive services
This position requires working in an office setting with extensive computer and phone usage. Extended periods of driving and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and moderate office noise, heat, cold, and smells.
