Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at Esse Health. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering patient calls and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Scheduling patient appointments and managing the patient schedule
  • Verifying patient insurance and collecting co-payments
  • Registering patients in the computer and checking them in and out
  • Performing administrative tasks such as balancing monies and verifying orders
  • Entering physician-related charges into the computer and billing hospital/nursing home charges
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance plans
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and coworkers
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
