Position Overview: This role is for a senior leader in water treatment with extensive project management expertise, a deep understanding of processes, and exceptional relationship-building skills. The position is designed to support the leadership in expanding the water treatment business across various regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with local Operations Managers in strategic business planning and the development of annual business objectives aimed at enhancing market share and technical capabilities.
  • Support regional and national leadership in strategic planning and technology initiatives, focusing on enhancing drinking water capabilities.
  • Assist in identifying, pursuing, and delivering water treatment projects effectively.
  • Formulate technical treatment strategies, select appropriate treatment processes, and develop design criteria for project execution.
  • Identify key opportunities and contribute to the development of proposals.
  • Guide Operations Managers in recruiting, supervising, and mentoring junior water staff.
  • Engage in holistic problem-solving for clients, considering their water supply, demand, production capabilities, regulatory constraints, and financial expectations.
  • Ensure direct coordination and collaboration with clients throughout project lifecycles.
  • Work closely with internal technical specialists across various disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage projects to align with client expectations, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Adhere to internal processes to guarantee the quality delivery of engineering projects.
  • Take full technical responsibility for organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments on projects of varying scales.
  • Conduct planning, studies, design, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the review and negotiation of contracts.
  • Mentor junior staff to help them achieve their career aspirations.
  • Evaluate project staff performance and recommend adjustments to meet overall project goals.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a project manager in drinking water quality and treatment processes.
  • Experience across all phases of water projects, from concept development to operations.
  • Background in municipal water treatment, water quality, or related fields.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for client engagement.
  • Able to simplify complex issues for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills:

  • Over 15 years of experience managing drinking water quality and treatment projects is preferred.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Credentials:

  • A Master's Degree or PhD in Civil/Environmental Engineering is advantageous.
