Quality Assurance Engineer

What We Do:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of quality programs/projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, purchasing, and selection support for product development.
  • Technical support for day-to-day processing and process improvements.
  • Ensuring system and product compliance through audits and capability studies.
  • Designing testing methods, testing finished products, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Participating in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs.
  • Completing general QA projects to enhance product quality.
  • Assisting in root cause analysis activities on claims.
  • Maintaining records of completed production QA check sheets.
  • Identifying and facilitating the execution of approved dispositions for non-conforming material.
  • Maintaining on-site measurement devices (calibration, tracking, etc).

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, preferably in Engineering.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Practical application experience of quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO-9001.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software (Solidworks) and drawings.
  • Experience with root cause analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Prior experience with statistical analysis using tools like Minitab is desirable.
