Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Compassionate Patient Care
    • Provide nursing care to patients, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs
    • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures and surgeries
  • Support Laboratory and Diagnostic Services
    • Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood smears and urinalysis
    • Assist with diagnostic imaging, including radiography and ultrasound
  • Contribute to Surgical and Dental Care
    • Prepare patients for surgery and assist with anesthesia monitoring
    • Perform dental procedures, including prophies and radiography
  • Communicate Effectively with Clients
    • Provide clear and concise information to clients regarding patient care and treatment options
    • Assist with client communication and education
  • Collaborate with Veterinary Team Members
    • Work effectively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff to provide comprehensive patient care
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Associate's degree in veterinary technology or a related field
    • Veterinary Technician Certification (VTC) or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification
  • Experience and Skills
    • 2+ years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
