Job Title: Staff Geologist

At HVJ Associates, we are seeking a highly skilled Staff Geologist to join our team. As a key member of our Geotechnical Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers and staff in delivering high-quality projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field assignments and logging to gather data and information.
  • Contribute to project document deliverables, including reports and presentations.
  • Assist project managers in business development, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with clients.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Utilization of skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results.
  • Timeliness and punctuality in meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Participation in professional organizations to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Career development and growth within the company.
Key Criteria/Requirements:
  1. BSCE or BS Geo degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Excellent written and communication skills, with strong math and science skills.
  3. Valid Texas driver's license with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug-related traffic offenses, and valid right to work documents.
  4. Complete defensive driving course and obtain certificate before driving company vehicles, and repeat as necessary.
  5. Willingness to perform year-long outdoor testing and logging.
