Position Overview:
As a key member of the nursing leadership team, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of nursing staff within the patient care unit. Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and manage nursing personnel to ensure optimal patient care delivery.
2. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth operations and patient flow throughout the facility.
3. Participate in the planning and organization of unit activities, including staff training and educational programs.
4. Act as a clinical resource, providing guidance and support in both direct and indirect patient care processes.
5. Lead and coordinate responses during hospital codes and crisis situations, ensuring efficient management of emergencies.
Leadership Role:
In the absence of department and hospital executives, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor serves as a representative, addressing any concerns or incidents that arise and reporting them to the designated administrative personnel.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience, including supervisory roles in an acute care setting.
- Current Texas State RN license.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification required within six months of hire.
- NIHSS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- De-escalation training required within 90 days of hire.
Work Schedule:
This position is classified as Per Diem, as needed.
