Job Overview

American Trash Management, Inc. is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to develop trash equipment systems for various projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Design Manager and Project Managers to deliver efficient and code-compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solid waste and loading logistics systems by interpreting architectural floor plans.
  • Create detailed CAD drawings and truck-turning models for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, MEP designers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to refine designs and ensure compliance with technical requirements.
  • Prepare specifications for trash and loading equipment.
  • Ensure all designs meet ATM standards, industry regulations, and building codes.
  • Solve complex design challenges to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with CAD software, industry tools, and best practices.
  • Provide technical support to project teams, ensuring smooth integration of trash and loading systems into project designs.
  • Perform quality checks before submitting for approval to Project Managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoTURN.
  • Functional knowledge of Revit.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with architectural plans and building codes is a plus.
