Compensation Package$45,000 per year salary, plus benefits
About the JobWe are seeking a skilled Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at our fast-paced outpatient imaging center. The ideal candidate will provide quality customer service while obtaining and entering accurate demographic and insurance information into our RIS system for our patients.
- Receive inbound calls from patients and physician offices, and schedule requested exams.
- Make outgoing calls to patients to schedule requested exams whose orders were faxed or sent via electronic requisition.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all callers.
- Handles initial scheduling inquiries and problems via the telephone.
- Resolve caller issues, which may require research and/or troubleshooting.
- Receive telephone calls, which are non-routine and require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of one year related medical office experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Call center experience is a plus.
- Intermediate computer and customer service skills are a must.
- Great organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMOs, and PPOs is a plus.
