We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team at Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will work closely with children and their families to provide individualized treatment plans and evidence-based therapies to support their mental health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct weekly or biweekly individual, family, and group therapy sessions with children and families to help them cope with trauma and various diagnoses.
- Collaborate with birth parents, foster parents, case planning teams, medical teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child and family.
- Complete annual screenings and assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based models in trauma-informed care, including CPP, EMDR, TF-CBT, CBT+, and PCIT.
- LCSW-R, LCSW, LMSW, or Licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) required.
- Experience providing therapy to children under the age of 5 and working with evidence-based models is preferred.
- At least two years of experience working with children and families is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
