Job Title: Shop Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team at Kahlig Auto Group. As a Shop Foreman, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper repair and servicing of all vehicles taken in by our Service Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a high level of product and technical knowledge through ongoing training and education.
  • Provide technical and administrative training for technicians.
  • Assist technicians with diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Review diagnostic results and ensure quality workmanship.
  • Administer pay for technical staff and meet with group leaders to discuss performance and administrative matters.
  • Meet with the Service Manager daily to discuss shop production and administrative matters.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as directed by management.
  • Keep shop equipment in safe operating condition and stay informed about new equipment available in the marketplace.
  • Direct the maintenance of shop cleanliness and coordinate repairs as necessary.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in an automotive technical position.
  • 4+ years as a team lead or previous foreman position.
  • Factory training credentials or ASE equivalent.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of dealership's computer systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with the public and other dealership personnel.
  • Valid in-state driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Must be insurable and a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity.
