Position Summary
The role involves operating manufacturing machinery as instructed while strictly following all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret job specifications to determine necessary machine settings and material needs.
- Adjust stops or guides to specified measurements as indicated by scales, rules, or templates.
- Monitor machine operations to identify product defects or equipment issues.
- Inspect products for inconsistencies or abnormal characteristics to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery.
- Collaborate with fellow operators to set up machines and assist with tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the designated work area.
- Perform additional duties related to the job as assigned, either temporarily or permanently.

Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of relevant experience in trades pertinent to job responsibilities; or a combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience operating specific block machinery is preferred.
- Capability to read and comprehend documents such as safety guidelines, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense to execute instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Competence in addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all work assignments.
Physical Demands
- The employee is required to stand for extended periods while performing job duties.
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 40 lbs, or up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Flexibility in scheduling is necessary.
