About the Role

Garnet Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Alcoholism Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our Substance Abuse Counseling team, you will provide quality, confidential, age-specific alcohol/chemical dependency education, group counseling, and individual counseling to patients. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping individuals overcome addiction and achieve a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Responsibilities
  • Provide education and support to patients with attention to their biological, psychological, cultural, spiritual, and social needs and ability to participate in treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Facilitate group counseling sessions to promote peer support and community building.
  • Conduct individual counseling sessions to address specific patient needs and concerns.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders.
  • CASAC or CASAC-T certification required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
