Job Title: Repair Station Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Repair Station Technician to join our team at Great Plains Ventures. As a key member of our repair station, you will be responsible for performing assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and repairing of valves, motors, and blowers in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble valves, motors, and blowers
  • Perform analysis to troubleshoot and ascertain failure causes
  • Set up and perform tests for functional acceptance
  • Perform maintenance in accordance with technical information
  • Comply with all safety requirements of the position and the facility
  • Follow the policies outlined in the Employee handbook and the posted Work Rules for ASC
  • Behave in an ethical and professional manner at all times

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical manuals
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Highly disciplined problem solver with a strong work history and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently with self-motivation to improve production
  • Basic shop math skills are necessary so that essential calculations may be performed throughout the assembly process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with light aerospace equipment maintenance
  • Prior exposure to aerospace requirements and practices
  • Background in testing using pneumatic gauges and electrical test equipment

Working Conditions:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
