Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join Ampcus as a Certified Medical Coder. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records, analyzing physician notes, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing purposes. Your expertise in coding and compliance will be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our coding processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Review medical records and analyze physician notes to assess documentation accuracy
Ensure accurate coding and billing practices in accordance with established guidelines and regulations
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to resolve billing issues and discrepancies
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding and compliance standards, including HIPAA and The Joint Commission regulations
Participate in quality studies and data collection to improve coding processes and outcomes

Requirements:

Certified Coder (CPC, COC, or CCS) certification
Experience working as a coder in nuclear medicine (highly preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
