Job Description

At Sompo International, we are seeking a highly skilled Innovation Strategy and Transformation Manager to join our Insurance Operations team. This is a unique opportunity to drive digital transformation efforts within the business and lead the development and launch of a new platform that provides clients with an enhanced overview of risk data points, including IOT technologies, to improve their ability to understand and manage risks.

This platform will be the cornerstone to manifest Sompo International's vision to become a digital-first carrier and gain an edge over our direct competitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive innovation by identifying new opportunities to use technology to improve the way we manage risk.
  • Innovation vendor management, including contract negotiations, service testing and eco-system absorption.
  • Ownership of platform development, piloting, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage marketing and brand image and promoting value through customer experience while establishing clear client user retention goals and milestones.
  • Partner with sponsors, stakeholders (including broker organizations), and IT to facilitate, define and document relevant business processes, gaining an advanced understanding of the needs, measures, and risks & controls for the improvement area.
  • Facilitate innovative revenue streams, including usage-based insurance, risk partnerships, mitigation services, data packages, and fee-based Software as a Service (SaaS) models.

Requirements:

  • Preferred Master's degree in business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in innovation, digital transformation, customer experience, product management or consulting related field.
  • Demonstrated success in launching web-based client-facing platforms or other innovation services.
  • Strong understanding of digital product management and technical solutions, including web/mobile apps, APIs, IOT, and transactional platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple change delivery methodologies and demonstrated use of process engineering methodologies.
  • Proven experience managing the end-to-end customer-facing product lifecycle, determining the product vision and roadmap, delivering strong customer experiences, and managing stakeholder interactions.
