As a Production Team Lead at Spark Packaging, you will oversee the production team's activities within prepress, ensuring company objectives are met in safety, productivity, quality, cost, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement operational strategies to assigned production crew to achieve company objectives.
  • Accountable for assigned production crew's key performance metrics, including machine and labor efficiencies.
  • Support capacity planning to meet internal and external customer on-time-delivery demand.
  • Sustain continuous improvement initiatives and established standard work.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to drive operational excellence.
  • Coach, develop, engage, and train assigned crew, and support employee relations and performance management.
  • Manage and audit the set up and first piece approval process to ensure consistent product quality specifications.
  • Apply a pit crew mentality to press change overs and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Interact with key stakeholders to provide technical support and resolve order problems or complaints.
  • Maintain industry, professional, and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in flexographic printing, Supervisor experience or Lead experience is a must.
  • Occasionally lifting 25 lbs, majority of time spent on the production floor, must be able to work a rotational schedule that would include weekends and working between the day and overnight shift.
