Fleet Operations and Maintenance Manager Position

The California Highway Patrol is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician II to lead our fleet operations and maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective fleet maintenance strategies
  2. Oversee routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles in the fleet
  3. Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on all vehicles
  4. Maintain accurate records of vehicle repairs and maintenance
  5. Coordinate logistics for fuel shipments and inventory control

Qualifications:

  • Current CDL and valid driver's license
  • Background investigation results clear of any issues
  • Medical clearance prior to hire date
  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance, preferably in a leadership role

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary range from $43,900 to $56,500
  • State holidays and weekends off
  • Ongoing training and education programs available
