Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Healthcare Partners Investments. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including phlebotomy, electrocardiogram, and cleaning of care areas.
  • Stock and maintain supplies, and dispose of linen and waste materials to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Set priorities and manage time effectively to meet the needs of patients and the healthcare team.
  • Protect and advance patient interests, maintaining knowledge of equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • One year experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Completion of two semesters of clinical nursing courses or AUA certification and formalized phlebotomy and EKG training preferred.
  • AHA BLS healthcare certification required within 30 days of hire.
Physical Demands
  • Heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 lbs to 20 lbs of force constantly).
  • Constant standing and walking (activity exists 2/3 or more of the time).
  • Occasional keyboard and dexterity (activity exists up to 1/3 of the time).
  • Effective verbal communication and ability to see, hear, and follow standard precautions.

Environmental Conditions: High exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals. Must follow standard precautions and may be required to work weekends or flex schedules.
