About the Role:

Total Quality Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to lead the growth and development of our international freight forwarding business.

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing, and leading a team of experienced Sales Executives. You will work directly with the Sales Team and Leaders to identify opportunities and drive brokerage revenue for Air and Ocean.

You will establish effective relationships across the organization to achieve all sales and operational goals. You will meet with customers who have air, ocean, and/or customs opportunity virtually or in-person to implement value-added international solutions.

You will assist International Sales Executives with strategies to ensure sales targets are met and that a high level of customer service is delivered to the sales floor and customers/carriers.

You will be responsible for communicating updates, progress, and issues to executive leadership. You will collaborate with International Sales leadership and TQL Global Operations Team on pricing and operations to build solutions for customers.

You will attend carrier meetings and trade shows as appropriate. You will monitor sales reports, take appropriate action, and communicate trends and market conditions to the Director and Vice President.

You will resolve escalated accounting/claims issues when needed.

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years' sales experience in Air and Ocean logistics
  • 3+ years' sales management experience, preferably leading a team of 10+
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate others
  • On call, receiving calls from carriers, clients, prospects, and sales associates 24/7/365
  • Capable of providing strong professional references
