Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at LCB Senior Living, LLC. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for providing exceptional culinary services to our residents, promoting a restaurant-style dining atmosphere, and working closely with our Culinary Services Director and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and approved menus, ensuring that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise culinary staff, assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies, and participate in preparing and cooking meals.
  • Quality Control: Maintain kitchen and food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times, and ensure that all food is handled, prepared, and served in accordance with company standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide a high level of customer service to residents, responding to their needs and preferences, and promoting a positive dining experience.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate daily or weekly needs of food and supplies, and communicate needs to food service director or assistant food service director.
  • Special Events: Assist with the preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
Requirements
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and a minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment is required.
  • Certifications: Serve Safe Certification is required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., and be able to carry objects, push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit, and stand.
