This position is responsible for cutting, trimming, and boning carcass sections or fillets to reduce cooking cuts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food processing and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Preparation: Clean and prepare fish for cutting and processing, discarding inedible parts.
- Cutting and Weighing: Cut and weigh fillets and portions for individual servings.
- Receiving and Storing: Receive, inspect, and store seafood upon delivery.
- Inventory Management: Record quantity of seafood received and issued.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Experience: Two-three years related experience and/or training.
- Skillset: Must have the ability to use cutting utensils and run an electric pallet jack or forklift.
- Flexibility: Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which are subject to evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Lifting and Moving: Regularly lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
- Vision: Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
