Foster Care Supervisor Job Description

Baptist Children's Homes of North Carolina is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Foster Care Supervisor to join our team. As a Foster Care Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in foster care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support foster families to provide a stable and nurturing environment for children.
  • Conduct regular home visits to assess the foster home's suitability and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for each child in care, in collaboration with the child's family and other stakeholders.
  • Provide training and education to foster families on topics such as child development, trauma-informed care, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to child welfare services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of child and family interactions, including progress notes, case plans, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and families in a social services or child welfare setting.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate an agency vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and cultural sensitivity.
