About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and animal-loving individual to join our team as a Pet Care Specialist at PetSuites. As a key member of our resort team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our furry guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Care: Ensure that each guest is treated with respect and dignity, and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Food and Water Management: Ensure that all guests receive appropriate amounts of food and water, and that food and water bowls are cleaned and sanitized daily.
  • Facility Maintenance: Clean up dog poop, urination, and any vomit throughout the shift, and maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our standards of cleaning and disinfecting rooms.
  • Animal Handling: Walk dogs on leash to and from outside exercise areas, engage in play activities with pets, and supervise activities of multiple dogs throughout the day.
  • Conflict Resolution: Monitor closely for any potential conflicts or escalations and redirect or remove one or more dogs from the situation as needed.
  • Communication: Communicate directly with clients, both written and orally, about their dog's care and well-being, and work to build trust with clients.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all guests receive exceptional care and attention.
Requirements
  • Animal Experience: A passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs and cats, and a willingness to learn animal behavior to ensure their safety.
  • Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to take care of clients' needs while following company procedures.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, push, and grasp.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends, and to adapt to changing circumstances.
