We are seeking a dedicated Airfield Operations Maintenance Specialist to support our client's airport facilities. This role involves ensuring the airport's compliance with various regulatory standards and maintaining operational safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in upholding airport standards in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) guidelines.
- Engage in both skilled and semi-skilled tasks within the Aircraft Operations Area (AOA), including pavement repairs, airfield landscaping, and seasonal maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine inspections of airport infrastructure, including runways and taxiways, to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Measure and align airfield markings, utilizing specialized painting equipment for precision.
- Operate various maintenance machinery, including mowers and deicing equipment, to maintain airfield conditions.
- Respond effectively to emergencies involving aircraft, equipment failures, and hazardous situations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, while providing assistance to the public as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned within the scope of the role.
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Strong physical capabilities and ability to lift heavy items.
- Experience with landscaping and maintenance tools.
- Adherence to safety protocols and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent time management abilities.
- Successful completion of a background check with no felony or serious misdemeanor offenses.
- Passing a drug screening is mandatory.
