Job Title: Police Lieutenant Director

Job Summary: The Mount Airy Visitors Center is seeking a highly qualified and motivated law enforcement professional to serve as Police Lieutenant Director. This individual will oversee Patrol Operations and the Administrative Services Unit, playing a vital role in upholding the Department's Core Values and Mission Statement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Patrol Operations and the Administrative Services Unit
• Lead and direct departmental efforts in community outreach and engagement, public safety initiatives, training and career development, and recruitment and retention of sworn personnel
• Ensure compliance with Department's Core Values and Mission Statement

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
• Minimum of five years of police supervisory or management experience required
• Maryland Police Certification; Supervisor School and Administrator Certification by MPCTC or comparable certification
• Ten or more years of progressive law enforcement experience
• Valid driver's license
