Senior Financial Analyst

Allied Mineral Products is a prominent producer of monolithic refractories globally. We are in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to undertake a range of responsibilities within finance, accounting, and corporate risk management. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in financial planning and analysis, insurance renewal, claims management, and reporting. This position will report directly to the Controller and collaborate closely with them to enhance FP&A functions across the organization. This role is vital in ensuring that the company effectively mitigates risks and manages costs through strategic planning and budget compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee corporate FP&A initiatives.
  • Assist in corporate treasury functions.
  • Support the renewal and management of the corporate insurance portfolio, encompassing liability, property, auto, and other relevant coverages.
  • Facilitate the administration of insurance claims, including property damage, general liability, and automotive incidents.
  • Act as an accounting resource during the monthly closing process, handling specific journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reviews, and variance analyses.
  • Provide financial assistance for the annual external financial audit, including preparation and analysis of financial schedules.
  • Manage the corporate card program, offering support to cardholders and implementing fraud prevention measures.
  • Oversee the completion and submission of compliance surveys.
  • Compile quarterly board meeting schedules.
  • Recommend enhancements to ensure compliance and operational efficiency when deficiencies are identified.
  • Execute additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Three to five (3 to 5) years of experience in finance and/or accounting is preferred.
  • Experience in corporate insurance and claims management is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer skills, particularly with MS Office.
  • Familiarity with SAP and FP&A software is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and driven by tasks.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to meet deadlines and manage time-sensitive issues.
