Unique Opportunity for Veterinarians

We are seeking a veterinarian to join our team at Heartstrings Pet Hospice, providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000-$150,000, depending on experience. Benefits include health insurance, mileage reimbursement, quarterly productivity bonuses, retirement plan, life insurance, paid time off, bereavement leave, paid parental leave, and professional training and development.

About the Role:

  • Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to clients
  • Guide families in making informed decisions about end-of-life care for their pets
  • Collaborate with local veterinary clinics to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited institution
  • At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. assisted
  • Capacity to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday
  • Comfortable with extended periods of driving
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and ability to maintain steady hands while using medical tools
