We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Coach to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Boston.
Job OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to work in a dynamic environment, providing personalized fitness training and support to members. As a Fitness Coach, you will be responsible for creating and implementing customized workout plans, conducting fitness assessments, and teaching group exercise classes.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Client Acquisition:
Build a strong personal training clientele through effective sales and marketing strategies.
Training Delivery:Deliver high-quality fitness coaching services, including one-on-one and small group training sessions, to help clients achieve their health and wellness goals.
Client Relationships:Foster positive relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to ensure client retention and satisfaction.
Communication and Education:Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management, providing clear instructions and demonstrations of exercise techniques.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance:Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements- Education and Certifications:
Nationally accredited certification (NSCA, ACSM, NASM) and a degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred.
Skills and Qualifications:Demonstrated ability to perform fitness assessments, teach progressive exercise programs, and create safe and effective exercise plans for individuals.
Personal Qualities:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for fitness and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
