Amador County Unified School District is a unified P-12 district serving approximately 4,300 students. Our schools and communities are nestled in the heart of the Gold Country in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, close to San Francisco, Sacramento, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe.

We have two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, two junior high schools, and six elementary schools. Our district is committed to providing a high-quality education to our students.

Job Summary

This position includes a prep buyout for the school year. We offer year-for-year experience credit when placing employees on the salary schedule. Experience must be full-time, contracted work, and over 75% of the school year to qualify.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Valid CA credential authorizing Physical Education at grade levels middle/high school
  • Resume and Letter of Introduction
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation

English Learner Compliance: If you don't have an EL (English Learner Authorization) or CLAD (Crosscultural, Language & Academic Development) certificate, you will be required to apply for an emergency CLAD permit with the CTC as a condition of employment.

During the first year of employment, you will need to earn the English Learner Authorization or CLAD certificate by coursework, exam, or a combination of both. The associated costs for the emergency permit and coursework/exams will be at the employee's expense.

Additional Information

Current clear TB test and DOJ fingerprinting at Amador County Unified School District will be required for the hired candidate.
