Job Summary

The Amador County Unified School District is seeking a qualified Mild Moderate Teacher to join our team. As a Mild Moderate Teacher, you will work within the general education setting to support students with disabilities through push-in, pull-out, and co-teaching. The district will provide you with a mentor and pay for your two-year induction program. You will also receive an annual $2,000 Special Education stipend with a CLEAR credential.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Valid California credential authorizing Mild Moderate (or Learning Handicapped)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder Authorization
  • English Learner Authorization
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • Resume and letter of introduction
English Learner Compliance

If you don't have an EL (English Learner Authorization) or CLAD (Crosscultural, Language & Academic Development) you will be required to apply for an emergency CLAD permit with the CTC as a condition of employment.

During the first year of employment you will need to earn the English Learner Authorization or CLAD certificate by course work, exam or a combination of course work and exam.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

If you don't have an Autism Spectrum Disorders Authorization you will be required to apply for an emergency permit with the CTC as a condition of employment.

During the first year of employment you will need to earn the Autism Spectrum Disorders Authorization by course work.

Special Education Limited Assignment Teaching Permit
