Job OverviewAs the Senior Manager of Direct Sourcing at NCR VOYIX, you will assume a pivotal role in building and managing commodity strategies and driving substantial business value. Your responsibilities will include developing and leading commodity strategy development, strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating contract terms, and managing key supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership in developing advanced commodity strategies and plans
- Develop and manage a leading SRM approach that includes managing supplier performance and relationships to ensure the organization's expectations are met
- Develop, foster, and promote relationships with internal functions; routinely discuss processes, policies, and benefits derived through the Procurement organization
- Lead sourcing initiatives for continuous improvement
- Ensure continuity of supply and mitigate supply chain risk
- Conduct ongoing reviews of commodities to measure and track performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Partner with multiple corporate functions (e.g., FP&A, Legal, Marketing, HR, etc.) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities
The selected candidate will take ownership of projects and drive them to completion, understanding that the results will have a strong impact on the department's objectives. Preferred qualifications include 7+ years of experience in Commodity/Category Management, with experience managing commodities such as PCBAs, metals, plastics, electro-mechanical components, and Contract Manufacturing/ODM management.
Demonstrated capabilities of developing and implementing commodity strategies, leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations, and authoring, and driving savings/value are essential. Strong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills are also required. Experience coordinating teams, collecting insights, and constructively challenging internal stakeholders with conventional thinking is preferred.
Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies is necessary. Organized and adaptable with demonstrated ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results is essential. Demonstrated progression in career with increasing responsibilities, including experience leading project teams and resources, is also required.
Comfortable with organizational change and able to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment is a must. Offers of employment are conditional upon passage of screening criteria applicable to the job.
