Job Summary:
The City of Clayton is seeking a highly skilled Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching group swim classes and private lessons to residents, members, and patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and excellent customer service experiences to our residents, members, and patrons.
- Evaluate programs and make recommendations for improvements to the Aquatic Supervisor.
- Work cooperatively with all Aquatics and facility personnel to promote customer satisfaction with programs and facilities.
- Act as a public relations representative for the Aquatics Department and The Center of Clayton.
- Monitor attendance policies and keep patrons abreast of class information and registration deadlines.
- Ensure program safety by monitoring class area and notifying program supervisor of any maintenance or safety concerns.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in swimming technique and teaching skills with strong communication skills.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in an aquatic environment.
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification is preferred.
Availability:
Must have availability every Monday evening 4:45-8pm, Wednesday evening 4:45-8pm, or every Saturday from 9:00am-12:00pm.
