We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team at Sharon Hospital.
**Job Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct patient care in the Labor and Delivery setting
* Assess and plan for individualized patient care
* Communicate with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition
* Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
* Perform general nursing duties in all Maternal Child Health departments with adequate supervision
* Participate in performance improvement activities
**Requirements:**
* CT Registered Nurse Licensure
* One year of recent Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery or equivalent experience required
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation certification (NRP)
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within six months of hire
* Successful completion of STABLE Neonatal Program within six months of hire
* Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) preferred
**Working Conditions:**
* Essential: Significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity
* Essential: Significant occupational risk
* Essential: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
* Essential: Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
