Certified Welding Inspector

Masaba Inc is seeking a highly skilled Certified Welding Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of weld quality in our manufacturing processes.

• Inspect and Validate Weld Quality: Conduct thorough inspections of welds to ensure they meet established procedures and standards.
• Schedule and Perform Inspections: Plan and execute inspections at various production stages to ensure quality control.
• Lead Internal Welding Certification Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive welding certification program for employees.
• Collaborate with Employees: Work closely with employees to resolve quality-related issues and improve processes.
• Review and Calibrate Equipment: Regularly review and calibrate gauges, fixtures, and welding machines to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Maintain QA Records and Training Certification: Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities and ensure employees are properly trained and certified.
• Train New Welders: Provide training and guidance to new welders on proper techniques and procedures.
• Develop Welding Procedures: Assist in developing and implementing welding procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

• 5 Years GMAW (MIG) Welding Experience: Proven experience in GMAW (MIG) welding is essential for this role.
• Manufacturing Welding Experience: Experience in manufacturing welding environments is highly desirable.
• AWS CWI Certification: AWS CWI certification is a must for this position.
• Quality Process Experience: Experience in quality processes and procedures is preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with employees and stakeholders.
• Blueprint Reading Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints is necessary for this role.
• Shop Math Skills: Good shop math skills are required for accurate calculations and measurements.
• Physical Ability: Physical ability to perform job functions is essential.
• Independent Worker: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
• Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in computer software and systems is necessary for this role.
