Job Summary

The Procurement Manager is a key role within our organization, responsible for leading all Procurement staff and activities. This position drives value to the organization through developing efficient processes and procedures, identifying and eliminating waste, and managing projects cross-functionally to implement procurement best practices.

The successful candidate will maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts for major purchases, and establish sourcing strategies to ensure the best possible outcomes for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the Procurement department through regular performance dialogue, coaching, and career development.
  • Maintain a high-performing team that collaborates well with others and executes projects successfully.
  • Work with the Global Supply team to create clearly defined regional strategies for various categories of products.
  • Manage the strategic procurement and strategic sourcing initiatives for the region.
  • Enhance global procurement processes and tools.
  • Conduct negotiations with suppliers/vendors to determine product price and delivery schedule.
  • Assess and qualify vendors, develop alternate sources, and evaluate vendor performance.
  • Manage multiple cost reduction projects and leverage spend across the business.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel on material status and delivery issues.
  • Coordinate with key partners to achieve inventory accuracy and goals.
  • Manage indirect procurement and purchasing activities.
  • Responsible for company adherence and implementation of purchasing controls and policies.
  • Approve purchase orders as required by purchasing policy.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a BS degree in Business Management/Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant procurement, sourcing, and/or supply chain experience. Additionally, 3+ years of experience managing and leading a team is required.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills, as well as strong negotiations skills and a demonstrated ability to create value for organizations.
