Detention Deputy

As a Detention Deputy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our detention facility. This position requires a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport inmates to and from other detention facilities, court proceedings, and medical appointments
- Act as court bailiff and supervise inmate workers during inside and outside work activities
- Monitor and inspect cellblocks to ensure security and maintain accurate records
- Administer prescribed and non-prescribed medications, and log all information regarding inmates
- Operate two-way radios, fingerprint machines, and other equipment as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of law enforcement experience
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- CPR and first aid certification
- Colorado POST certification desired
This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to biohazards and other health risks. Employees must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
