Job Title: Countertop Lead Installer

Franklin Building Supply is seeking a highly skilled Countertop Lead Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for leading the installation of countertops and related materials to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of countertop installers to ensure high-quality installations.
  • Install countertops and related materials, including sinks and backsplashes, to the highest standards.
  • Onsite fabrication of countertops, executing tasks as needed and reasonably required.
  • Efficiently remove existing countertops as applicable, adhering to job-specific requirements.
  • Interpret blueprint drawings and written specifications to ensure accurate installations.
  • Review installation paperwork in detail, including initial work orders, change orders, and demolition work orders, to grasp the scope of each job.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the Countertop shop regarding each specific installation.
  • Actively support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience during installations.
  • Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns that may impact job completion with customers/builders and project managers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8+ years of countertop installation experience.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in countertop fabrication.
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills in various work-related situations.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor to positively portray the company.
  • Be a team player, contributing in all areas as needed.
  • Pay great attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve with minimal supervision.
  • Be approachable, a good listener, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints or technical drawings.
  • Able to modify planned daily schedules for unplanned urgencies.
  • Be a thinker, planner, and visionary.
  • Effective at setting and achieving goals.
  • Thrive under pressure and juggle multiple tasks with finesse.
  • The position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
  • A pre-employment physical is required to obtain a DOT Medical Card, as employees will be required to drive an FBS Vehicle.
  • Possess a DOT Medical Card or have the ability to obtain one within 30 days.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products.
  • Background in residential and commercial construction & remodels is strongly preferred.
