Housing Inspection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Housing Inspection Specialist to join our team in the City of Hartford, CT.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of housing units for code violations and ensure compliance with health and housing laws, ordinances, and regulations.
- Perform systematic surveys and inspections to promote housing hygiene and conserve and rehabilitate dwellings.
- Investigate reported violations of housing and health laws, prepare written reports, and facilitate correctional or enforcement action.
- Graduation from high school supplemented by two years of college and two years of professional experience in real estate, construction, housing hygiene, sanitation inspection, or a closely related field.
- OR Graduation from high school and five years of professional experience in the aforementioned fields.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Residency in the City of Hartford, CT is preferred.
This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $62,500 based on industry standards and location.
