Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Test Automation Engineer to join our team in San Diego. As a key member of our Hardware testing team, you will play a crucial role in the development and integration of new features into our products.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining unit level HW and FW test CI infrastructure in our San Diego office.
  • Collaborating with the firmware team to ensure proper firmware test capabilities for new features.
  • Designing and implementing HW test automation setups for the validation of new features.
  • Integrating and developing new capabilities with the existing Continuous Integration (CI) systems.
  • Automating pre-production lab equipment, including battery simulators, to streamline testing processes.
  • Contributing to the planning of assembly self-tests to ensure product quality and reliability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware testing and automation, preferably in the wearable technology or consumer electronics industry.
  • Proficient in languages like Python, C, C++, Javascript and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and Git version control.
  • Familiarity with developing test infrastructure, lab equipment automation and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams.
  • The ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • A willingness to drive quality.
