Key Responsibilities:
In the capacity of a Senior Control Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Executing intricate tasks while applying sound judgment in the evaluation and adaptation of standard engineering methodologies.
- Independently managing the control systems design team throughout the design and documentation phases of projects, while also identifying opportunities for additional design and integration work.
- Leading initiatives for assessing and planning enhancements to control systems.
- Facilitating meetings and engaging in reviews with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with codes.
- Coordinating project workload during design and construction documentation phases to ensure timely completion.
- Overseeing the creation of preliminary engineering reports and studies aimed at recommending and developing solutions for facility and process control systems.
- Acting as the Engineer of Record, responsible for the creation of accurate and biddable SCADA/I&C construction documents.
- Conducting systems integration for I&C systems, including programming PLCs/PCs and customizing HMIs for various control software applications.
- Drafting and refining I&C specifications, as well as selecting appropriate equipment and monitoring/control devices.
- Collaborating in joint scoping and proposal development alongside clients and marketing teams.
- Participating in the planning and specification of advanced technology solutions, encompassing instrumentation and control, automation, artificial intelligence, Operational Technology (OT) networking, data management, and analytics.
- Reviewing electrical documentation to identify conflicts across all disciplines.
- Working with affected disciplines to manage addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders, ensuring agreed-upon modifications are incorporated into project documents.
- Providing construction contract administration as necessary.
- Performing QA/QC on the work of other I&C Project Engineers, Coordinators, or Technicians as required.
- Executing additional duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
We seek candidates with:
- A Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Expertise in advanced control systems topics, including data management, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
- Experience in automation programming and control systems design.
- Knowledge of automation hardware and software, including but not limited to Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Foxboro, Modicon, Siemens, GE, Wonderware, iFix, FactoryTalk, VTScada, and Ignition.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
