Director of Medical and Health Services

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, Executive Management, this position is responsible for the ongoing operations, short and long-term planning, and development of the vision for the service line. The Director will oversee the management and utilization of financial, material, and human resources; strategic planning; and integrated program development within the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a positive working relationship with leadership, physicians, and community partners to promote service growth, efficient care processes, and quality patient outcomes.
  • Develop and manage budgets, negotiate and resolve conflicts, and lead change initiatives to improve service delivery.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve performance, manage human resources, and plan strategically for the service line.
  • Stay up-to-date with electronic medical records, clinical informatics, and other advanced healthcare technologies to ensure effective service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience and two years of management and administrative experience required.
  • Strong budgeting, financial management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate collaboration, teamwork, coaching/mentoring, and networking required.
