As a Workplace Risk Manager at Inland Kenworth U.S., you will be responsible for supporting our safety program throughout your territory and corporately. This includes examining potential unsafe working conditions, performing safety inspections, preparing reports, supporting safety committees, providing safety training when needed, and conducting investigations of accidents and suggesting preventative solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a positive safety culture by building relationships with assigned branches and promoting correct safety practices
  • Review, revise or develop safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance and identify any deficiencies
  • Participate in incident investigations, including identifying meaningful corrective actions
  • Help design and regularly communicate safety bulletins, corrective action notices, safety incident communications, and safety management systems updates
  • Regularly participate in toolbox meetings, joint health and safety committee meetings, and branch inspections
  • Conduct site visits to assigned branches to inspect, identify deficiencies, and work with local level employees to create and implement solutions
  • Facilitate annual audits and support branches in correcting identified deficiencies

Qualifications and Requirements

  • OHS Associate Degree or higher preferred
  • CSP/SMS designation is preferred but not required
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Experience in site inspection, investigation, hazard assessment, working knowledge of regulation, policy development
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Must be strong in both written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
  • Able to deliver training in front of various groups of people
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of regulations pertaining to worksites within assigned territory
  • Knowledgeable in hazard assessment and control
  • Experienced in inspections and investigations
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Drivers' license required

Estimated Annual Salary

$90,000 - $130,000 per year

This salary range is based on national averages for similar positions in the United States.
