VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatrist to join our team as a Correctional Health Care Specialist. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Unit, you will provide diagnostic evaluation and treatment to patients, as well as psychiatric consultation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of inmates referred by medical and clinical services staff.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and individual and/or group therapy.
- Collaborate with site staff to provide clinical direction, general supervision, and training.
- Approve and sign treatment plans, and monitor their implementation and efficiency.
- Provide in-service education to site staff as needed.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- Graduate of medical school and completion of an appropriate psychiatric residency.
- Licensed to practice in the state of Virginia and certified by the Office of Behavioral Health to provide psychiatric services in a licensed inpatient unit.
