Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse, you will:
- Deliver direct nursing care to newborns following established protocols and standards.
- Understand and monitor normal lab and ABG values for neonates.
- Conduct clinical nursing tasks for infants, ensuring individualized care standards are met.
- Perform neonatal assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
- Provide care for newborns, including feeding, IV management, medication administration, and respiratory support.
- Assist in laboratory tests through routine blood draws.
- Support physicians during Cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries.
- Administer medications accurately, adhering to established policies.
- Manage and assess patient pain effectively.
- Document and communicate patient conditions using computerized systems.
- Support family-centered care through education and communication.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a current Indiana State Board of Nursing licensure as a Registered Nurse or an active Compact State RN license.
- A BSN degree is preferred.
- BLS certification is required.
- NRP certification within six months of hire; STABLE certification is preferred.
- Prior experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or OB/Pediatrics is preferred.
