Job Title: Manager, Value Stream Engineering

At S&C Electric, we're committed to transforming the grid for resilient and reliable power worldwide. As a Manager, Value Stream Engineering, you'll play a critical role in driving strategic goals and leading the integration of design engineering deliverables and operations to meet SQDC targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Deployment: Lead a team of Engineers as part of the larger Value Stream Engineer group, collaborating with TBI, product development, and operations teams to map value streams and plan implementation for improvement.
  • Partnership with Product Operations: Partner with product operations and frontline leadership to translate new product requirements into concrete plans for manufacturing them at scale.
  • Process and Equipment Guidance: Provide guidance, expertise, and influence on process, equipment, and production decisions to meet SQDC targets.
  • Value Stream Mapping: Lead value stream engineers in developing a current state value stream map, identifying opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively across a wide range of stakeholders and steering committees, developing specifications, identifying opportunities, and solving problems through collaboration and consensus building.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Generate technical documentation, test procedures, and reports to document processes, ensuring plans can be easily communicated and understood by a variety of teams throughout the organization.
  • Leadership & People Management: Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team, role-modeling appropriate and professional workplace behaviors, addressing/mediating conflicts, and supporting a positive, healthy, and inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role with experience in value stream mapping and process design.
  • Skills: Great project management skills, sound leadership and team management skills, sound business sense and analytical skills, rounded communication skills, and financial acumen.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification
  • Six Sigma Certification
