Job Title: Route Planner

At Advanced Drainage Systems, we're looking for a skilled Route Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our products to customers across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage driver and customer relations through effective communication, planning, and problem-solving.
  • Dispatch and shipping-related tasks, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Collaborate with Freight Manager and other teams to optimize logistics operations.
  • Develop and implement efficient routes to minimize out-of-route miles and maximize driver productivity.
  • Manage common carrier/UPS billing, RMAs, and TPA ship method communication.
  • Support Stop Work Authority Program and escalate concerns to Freight Manager as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of office/computer experience and 1-2 years of experience in transportation (dispatch, driver, administration) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including software such as Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Familiarity with FMCSA and State DOT requirements, including HOS rules.
